After you purchase Lawmanac™, you’ll be able
to keep your system up-to-date year after year with our
affordable Update Service. When Lawmanac™ changes,
you’ll receive an email with a clickable link, which
enables you to purchase the update at a special rate.
During a typical year, you can expect to receive
emails alerting you to the following changes in Lawmanac™:

Spring
Update, $10.00. Every April, the Supreme
Court promulgates changes to the Federal Rules.
These amendments will take
effect on December 1 of the same year if Congress
fails to change the amendments. The Spring
Update contains
these Supreme Court amendments so that you can see what changes
are likely to occur in the Federal Rules.

Winter Update, $20.00.
When the amendments to the Federal Rules take effect
on December 1, we rewrite
the rules to reflect the latest amendments. We also include the latest
Advisory Committee Notes accompanying
those amendments. The Winter Update, which occurs in
December,
gives you a completely up-to-date version of the Federal Rules.

Special Updates, $20.00. The
Special Updates will revise Lawmanac™ to reflect changes in the Harvard Bluebook
or ALWD systems of legal citation. These changes come out
every five years or so. The latest changes to the Bluebook,
for example, occurred in the Summer of 2005. Also, Special
Updates will include additions to Lawmanac™. In 2005,
for example, we added the full text of Mr. Good’s
highly popular book Mightier than
the Sword—Powerful
Writing in the Legal Profession.
These updates are optional. You decide
how up-to-date you want your
Lawmanac™ system
to be. As a rule, $30.00
per year keeps your system current
(Spring and
Winter Updates).
Then, every now and then,
Special Updates will come along, which you might
want to
purchase
for $20.00.
